Coastlands has been developed by Lysaght Developments, a company which has played a significant part in shaping the town of Whakatane through Coastlands and other subdivisions before it.

Experienced Developers

Behind the success of Lysaght Developments are Ian and Adrianne Lysaght who have been involved in property development since the early 1960's and have developed both the Gateway Industrial Subdivision and Coastlands Residential Estate, along with other smaller developments in Whakatane.  Through their construction company, Lysaght Construction Ltd, they also built such buildings as the Whakatane Hospital's Kitchen, former Medical Services and Tower Blocks, along with major civil engineering contracts at Tasman Mill in Kawerau.

Philosophy

When asked about his achievements, Ian is quick to acknowledge God's help as epitomised in a verse from the Bible; "Lord you have established our peace and all we have achieved you have done for us."

Ian believes that most people can do anything if they apply themselves.
  • His first motto is; "Vision without action is just a dream, Action without vision just passes the time but vision with action can change the world."
  • His other motto is "Don't Ever Give Up".
